desenvolvem a música no contexto escolar, identificando desafios, possibilidades e
A pesquisa,
Paulin Romanowski. A metodologia adotou abordagem qualitativa e envolveu as
This dissertation investigated music education practices in the early grades of elementary school in the municipal school system of Campina Grande do Sul, Paraná, with the aim of understanding how teachers and specialists conceive, plan, and develop music in the school context, identifying the challenges, possibilities, and impacts of this practice, based on the research question: How is the practice of music education in the early years of elementary school in the municipal school system of Campina Grande do Sul – PR developed in all institutions at this stage of education? How can this study contribute to enabling teachers without specific training in music to incorporate music education into their pedagogical practice? The study also resulted in the development of a pedagogical notebook as an educational product, intended to support teaching, especially for teachers without specific training in music. The research, linked to the Graduate Program in Education and New Technologies at the International University Center (UNINTER), is part of the research line "Teacher Training and New Technologies in Education," under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Joana Paulin Romanowski. The methodology adopted a qualitative approach and involved the following steps: project development and submission to the Research Ethics Committee, approved by Opinion No. 7.602.691; literature review to theoretically situate the object of study; A systematic literature review of national academic production in music education and empirical research were conducted, collecting data through questionnaires administered to municipal school teachers and experts in the field. The results revealed that music education plays a significant role in the schools studied, albeit plagued by structural limitations, a lack of adequate materials, and gaps in initial training. However, teachers' commitment to continuing education and the use of creative methodologies such as singing, musical games, and body percussion was observed, highlighting the playful and interdisciplinary nature of music in students' cognitive, emotional, and social development. The experts' main recommendations are the need for institutional policies to encourage music in schools, ongoing teacher training programs, expanded teaching and technological resources, and the appreciation of schools as spaces for artistic creation and expression through collective practices and projects involving the community. The conclusion is that music education constitutes an essential pedagogical practice for the comprehensive development of students, and that strengthening teacher training and public policies is a fundamental condition for its consolidation in schools. Regarding the product, a Pedagogical Notebook was prepared with guidelines for Music Education in the Early Years, structured to offer theoretical foundations, methodological suggestions and practical activities that support the work of teachers, including those without specific training in the area, encouraging the integration of music into the school curriculum in a playful, accessible and interdisciplinary way.
